The team started unofficially back in 2014, taking on their first challenge of designing mobile applications for a smart lighting system, while learning on-the-job about hardware/firmware despite having accumulated more than 20 years of experiences serving enterprise software applications, cross-platform integration and deployments, and cloud infrastructure and platforms.
The SMART architecture was conceptualised in 2015 with the establishment of De-Wired Pte Ltd in Singapore, as a portfolio company of Red Dot Ventures (RDV) and National Research Foundation (NRF). The startup's goal was to provide an Internet-of-Things framework that integrates many 'non-talking' technologies across multiple platforms to serve a growing business needs, reducing time-to-market for IoT applications. Trustworthy last-mile connectivity to the IoT cloud and enterprise portals, plus mobility apps were the key focus for the growing team.
SMART DataOps is the latest platform extension that was initiated from an e-Commerce business needs. The platform is designed to automate large-scale data farming from Internet (and other multiple data sources), while incorporating machine learning for robots to reduce human errors and fatigue of repeated tasks.
We believe the future for real Artificial Intelligence (AI) starts from accumulating Big Data by merging public domain data with self-collected data. With machine learning robots, the business transformation process is just gonna be exponentially quicker.
